Well, I’m a bit late posting this, but yes, I decided to challenge myself in the new year. I mean, there are so many techniques out there, that I haven’t tried yet! I believe we live only once, and we should really do (not try, DO) what we want (ok, I’m talking about hobbies here, but feel free to adapt this to everyday life lol).
A couple of the things I’ve always admired were patchwork and quilting. I mean, those women get to work with fabulous fabrics, piece them together in a manner that not only they appeal to your eye, but it is also… gorgeous! Can you tell I’m envious? lol
That’s why, when one of my favourite blogs announced a Sew Along for making something using these techniques, I didn’t think about it twice. Ok, I don’t have a large stash of cottons, but I think I’ll work something out! I also liked this because I have one week for every step! I’m a procrastinator, a bad one, so this is perfect!

Sono un po’ in ritardo con questo post, ma è vero, ho deciso di sfidare le mie capacità quest’anno. Ci sono così tante tecniche nuove che non ho mai sperimentato! Io penso che si vive una volta sola, e dobbiamo fare (non tentare, FARE) quello che vogliamo (sto parlando dei nostri hobby, ma potete applicare questo concetto anche nella vita reale 😉 ). Un paio delle cose che ho sempre ammirato sono il patchwork ed il quilting. Voglio dire, avete visto le stoffe con le quali lavorano quelle donne? Stupende! Sono invidiosa 🙂
Ecco perché quando uno dei miei blog preferiti ha annunciato uno Sew Along per fare qualcosina utilizzando queste tecniche, non ho pensato due volte! Non ho così tante stoffe di cotone, ma farò con quello che ho. Mi piace questa sfida anche perché ho una settimana per fare ogni tappa – e per me, che sono una ritardataria cronica, è il massimo 🙂
